Andrew Sale

Short bio:

I am a Data Scientist at Regions Bank. Previously I was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

I completed my doctorate at the University of Oxford in 2012, and then went on to have postdoc positions at Cornell Univeristy, University of Rennes 1, and Vanderbilt University. After securing a tenure-track position at the University of Hawaii, I was awarded a Simons Collaboration Grant to support my research.

As a mathematician, my research was in the area of Geometric Group Theory. I wrote and co-authored 13 peer-reviewed papers, presenting the results at international conferences and seminars. I also taught a variety of courses.
